Script writing, Script consulting, Workshops & Therapy and Career Coaching for Creators

DRAMAPEN

We are a Finnish–Swedish duo who regularly collaborate on feature film and television screenplays, as well as in education and workshops. We also provide therapy and career coaching tailored specifically for screenwriters and other professionals in the creative industries – a unique combination grounded in our long experience within film.

Our approach to writing and creative development blends extensive professional experience, broad training, and a deep passion for storytelling. We unite dramatic structure with psychological and intuitive methods, interweaving theme, character, and conflict from the earliest stages to uncover the story's emotional and dramatic core.

We also work individually as screenwriters, as well as script consultants and creative development coaches.

Kirsi Vikman

SCREENWRITER, SCRIPT CONSULTANT & SOLUTION-FOCUSED BRIEF THERAPIST, CAREER COACH

I am a Finnish–Swedish screenwriter and dramaturg based in Stockholm, with more than two decades of experience in film and television. My feature films often explore psychological tension within families, moral ambiguity, guilt, power, deceit, and fractured relationships, as well as the struggle for self-definition and transformation.

My storytelling approach is character-driven and grounded in psychological insight and a deep understanding of human relationships. I’m drawn to what lies beneath the surface.

In addition to screenwriting, I am trained in solution-focused brief therapy, psychodrama and sociodrama, and I draw on a range of writing-based methods such as Ira Progoff’s Journal Method. This background informs my creative process: drama becomes a continuous movement between observation, analysis, and emotional embodiment — between structure and psychology.

Beyond screenwriting, I have extensive experience teaching the craft. From 2018 to 2023, I served as Head of Screenwriting and lecturer at Biskops Arnö in Sweden, and have also taught at Kulturama, Yle Draama, and various film schools and organisations.

I am particularly experienced in nurturing emerging writers, helping them strengthen their creative voice and direction. I also work as a script consultant, mentor and translate screenplays between Finnish and Swedish.

SCREENWRITER, SCRIPT CONSULTANT & MENTOR/COACH

I am an experienced screenwriter with a long career in film and television, often working on adaptations or on ideas developed by others – for both feature films and TV dramas – either on my own or in collaboration with other writers. My strength lies in developing stories with dramatic tension, emotional depth and clear structure, without compromising originality or artistic integrity.

As a dramaturg and script doctor, I have spent the past decades contributing to numerous acclaimed Nordic and international productions – from Tarik Saleh’s award-winning Cairo trilogy The Nile Hilton Incident, Boy from Heaven (Best Screenplay, Cannes) and Eagles of the Republic, to all of Klaus Härö’s films (The Fencer, Elina – As If I Wasn’t There), as well as Tove, Tom of Finland (both Finnish Oscar entries) and Easy Money.

Beyond my work as a writer and dramaturg, I am an appreciated mentor, coach and teacher.I have taught film and TV development, led workshops for both emerging and established filmmakers across the Nordic region and been advisor at several script labs, such as ScripTeast in Poland, the European Script Meeting in Riga and others.

With a background as producer, director, assistant director and development executive, I possess a broad understanding of the entire filmmaking process – from idea to finished production.Early in my career, I had the privilege of working with some of Sweden’s most distinguished directors, including Jan Troell, Bo Widerberg and Roy Andersson.
